In June 2018 I interned for London fashion label Typical Freaks, a colourful, conceptual brand designed by CSM graduate Seun Adeonojobi and LCF graduate Sonia XIAO. The brand aims to provide an eccentric statement on fashion, full of humour, craftsmanship and integrity.

Their trademark hand painted and printed garments are often imbued with a mature sensitivity and dark punky undertones.

Their 2016 collection was shown as part of fashion Scout's 'one to watch'.

During my time at Typical Freaks I assisted them in their studio with pattern cutting, marketing photos, stitching and stock lists.

I spent two days a week in Typical Freaks' print studio assisting with screen printing. I enjoyed their process of printing and hand painting directly onto their garments in an expressive manner. I was really inspired by how they up- cycled their zestful marked backing cloths (see below) into one-off statement pieces, minimising waste.

I contributed and helped them to complete their A/W 18 collection consisting of statement pieces and ready to wear knits, t-shirts and denim.
